Are you cleaning your makeup brushes?

We all love wearing makeup at some point, I very rarely wear makeup as my profession is skincare I find it’s best to be my most natural without make up when treating patients, however on a night out I love getting my face on!

With makeup in mind I just wanted to ask you

“Are you cleaning your makeup brushes?“

If the answer is no then please carry on reading, also if the answer is yes then carry on reading to give yourself a pat on the back.

Makeup brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria and using dirty brushes can lead to...

  • Blocked pores

  • Breakouts

  • Tiny lumps underneath the skin

  • They can spread infections

  • Cause skin irritation and rashes

  • And if that wasn’t enough it causes ageing

Please make sure to put time aside to clean your makeup brushes, your skin will thank you for it. I find a Sunday is the perfect day to do this as you want dry brushes for you makeup on a Saturday night .

Also no matter how tired you are, ALWAYS remove makeup before you go to bed, our skin excretes toxins as we sleep, so we don’t want to hinder this with a barrier of makeup.

Clean skin using clean makeup brushes gives you healthy skin.

Enjoy makeup sensibly!

Love the skin you’re in
